Foreclosed Properties and Short Sales...

There are certain things a customer needs to be aware of in a foreclosure or a short sale:

1. The power and or utilities may not be on to check all systems.
2. If that is the case, we urge you to have everything turned back on and running before you have your home inspection.
3. The home will most likely be in distress. Any home that sets vacant for a prolonged period of time will suffer from lack of regular maintenance.
4. Remember that in most cases people left these homes under protest.
5. What seems like a good deal may not be a great deal.
6. Get a home inspection. The average person simply does not have the knowledge, experience and training of a professional home inspector.
